Question about dealer

I just bought two new never in the water ski's straight from the show room. The dealer would not let me take the 1200 dollar rebate ore the 5 year warenty extention. Is this normal? I dont plan on ever going back to that dealer due to this stunt but I guess the question comes down to this.. I thought that was a customer rebate, can the dealer cash in on that, and build it into his profit ?
