Some young folks capsized their Sea-Doo Spark near me tonight and they waved at me because they didn't know how to turn it back up. I told them how to position themselves and the ski was back upright. All in all, it was capsized for about 60 to 90 seconds. I don't think it matters anymore which you turn it but I told them which way to turn the ski back like on my old 2 stroke as per sticker. BTW my 2018 GTI same engine as Spark doesn't require to turn it back one way or another anymore but I didn't take any chance. They were very worried about the ski that was brand new. I told them to start the engine and it fired right up but I saw some oil burning for about 30 seconds then it was fine. I told them to give it a little ride and everything was fine (no more smoke).
Is it normal that it smokes a bit after capsizing? I know this happens on my 4 stroke lawnmowers when I clean the blades but on a Sea-Doo?
