Hello everyone!

So we found a guy selling a couple jet skis, one is a 1997 Sea Doo XP, the other is a 1994 Yamaha wave runner III. They both look kind of rough but he says that they both run well and have been winterized. We went to go look at them today they look pretty clean (besides sun fading, grimy handle bars and rips in the seats) but Friday we are going to go back see if they start up okay and do some compression tests. My question is am I looking for around 140 - 150 in both skis? or are they different from the years, and/or models. Also is there anything else I should be looking for? Thanks for your help!
He is asking $1200 for both skis and a homemade double trailer. He is a neighbor so he lowered the price.

The Seadoo should be as close to 150 as possible.....anything under 130 and it will need a rebuild soon.

Yamaha....what engine is it. I think the 1100 is at 135 PSI.

Ask to see the oil bottle that he is using and report back. Yamalube ok for the Yamaha but not the Seadoo, hopefully he didn't use it in both.
Gray fuel lines are a no-no in both skis.

You must take it for a water test. If he won't let you then walk away, he may be hiding something.

If you buy them then have the carbs rebuilt and pump oil changed out.

Repost your findings.
