I have a 2012 speedster 150. Bought new on Oct 2012, not put in water until June 2013.
Love the boat but have a few issues with the quality.
1) Drivers seat is lose and moves back and forth
2) Where the spring attaches to the boat in the waterski storage hatch in floor pulled right out of the hatch. Have only opened this 4 times.
3) Little tab that you use to hold the ladder up with the rubber latch came off somehow and now have to tie the ladder up with rope so don't use anymore.

Has anyone else had these kind of quality issues ?

Thanks

Yeah they have had some serious quality issues the last few years, especially with the boats. That along with the inflated pricing is what put them out of the boat business. Can you get that stuff fixed under warranty?

I have the same boat.

I had the same problem with the driver's seat and took it to the dealer to fix. They tried to charge me for the repair but after arguing, they ate the cost of the labor and the 3 darts. It still seemed loose a little to me even after the repair.

I had that gas shock that is riveted onto the ski hatch pop the rivets right out from the door. When I was at the dealer I pointed out the problem and SeaDoo replaced the whole door and the gas shock. The downside is that I had Hydro-Turf on it and I had to order a replacement piece from Hydro-Turf because SeaDoo would not warranty that.

I have had no problems with the ladder as of yet.

Also, Just over a year old now though and my rear storage gas shocks will not lift the clam shell by without helping it.

Even with the issues I listed, I love the boat and have a great time with it!

Wow.. Knocking on wood, the only problem I have is with the rear storage shock when I try to release it, but after reading some posts, they say I can pull up the release lever and turn it 90 degrees to hold it and the help the rear storage open.

Mines is a 2011 and it sat for one year? Used my ladder a lot and it hasn't happened to me, I also use the ski locker and ice storage bin and everything seems to be perfect. I also had the driver seat wiggle, but I thought that was due to my weight and my constant usage of it, though the dealer did repair everything under warranty, the even repaired my radio cover which I broke myself which shouldn't be covered.

So I am very happy with my boat, I have taking her out over 20 times and it's been a joy and a pleasure, love this boat. The computer says 23 hours.

I think I am ready for a bigger boat, but reading others that got a larger boat say they miss the hell out of the speedster 150, the nimbleness, speed and agility, the pure fun of it.

So if finances give, ll keep my speedster 150, and also get a bigger boat (yea right let's see if I can pull that off).
