Q: Problem Starting

Hi everyone! Have a quick question to see if you can help me out. I bought a 2009 wake pro 215 a couple of month ago and each time I start the PWC for the first time that day it starts fine but it dies if I do not accelerate it. Just to clarify, it starts right aways but after a second or so it dies if I don't rev the engine up.

After a while of riding it, if I stop the engine and start it back it works fine.

Any ideas what could it be?

Thanks...

M

If that would be the case, wouldn't it fail always? Apaprently once its warmed up, if you kill it and turn it back on it wont die.

It is unexplained & unknown, an intermittant problem. We gaze at the Crystal Ball.
Its a SWAG ... ... ... scientific wild ass guess

LOL!!! Well, just to reclarify, it always happens the first time it is started on any given day. But after that first start and the engine is warm it won't do it again that day... But it has the same behavior the next day..

Have you changed the spark plugs yet? They should have been changed on it's 10 hour service. If you have a fouled plug, it could act like that.

Well.. the ski only has 7 hours so far... so I haven't done the 10hr service. I'm taking it in for winterization, so I'll ask the dealer to check it at that point, but it makes sense! At least, based on the feedback, doesn't seem anything serious!

Thanks for your feedback guys!
