There are currently two active threads with a lot of information and comments regarding SES. Do your homework before making a decision. Most people agree that they do quality work but beware of the turnaround time.

Point taken ... although imo taking longer means ... taking the time. That could mean the difference between 500m and 5000km. I think this is why griz started this thread though so we could see a pool of machine shops understand their differences and pick the best one.

If taking longer means better quality than I can expect my engine to last atleast 1000 hours. My engine is finally in shipping back from SES. Turnaround 7 months. Thats right I sent it to them in August 2012. I was quoted 8 weeks. It should be here next week I will let you know if it looks like 7 months worth of work.

That's excessive no doubt about that. Sounds like complications somewhere in the process ....

for anyone in the quebec region and east ontario
also in wisconsin
I dont know if I would even pick up the phone to call these guys. Click on Warranty and there is a full page of info there. The first 2 lines explain what is covered, the rest of the page explains how the warranty will be void.
With SES and SBT I can decide not to buy oil and run it or add mods and they will still cover it under warranty (so they say), you cant beat that.

they say 1 year...

Sorry Ron, that was not meant to be a shot at you. I just get frustrated with companies that wont stand behind their work, and have put more time and resources into how they can cover they butts then just building good product and service for their customers.

Maybe its not fair for me to say cause I have not ever used them, but how the warranty page is written, its almost like they started the fight before I even became a customer.

totally agree, you click their warranty page and right away you are drawn to just click that little red X at the top right corner and not even bother with contacting them, this is the type of place id be willing to give them a shot with small parts to begin with. see what they can do in a time frame and judge from there!

Here is something interesting, I found this guy on Kijiji, he tells me that he has no affiliation with Fullbore, yet he almost took word for word what Fullbore has on thier website.

For a 787 he charges $1500 which includes carb rebuilds and new WSM crank. He tell me the OEM cranks you get now are just remans from Quebec, can anyone confirm this?

Also it is only a 1 year warranty that is not a no fault, it only cover defects in parts.
Here is his ad on Kijiji

Here is the Fullbore ad about half way down the page.

If someone does make an Excel sheet how would he post it here?

Post here if you're going to make one.
