2001 GTX LE RFI. The ski is dead - no beeps, no nothing.
From what I have read, I may have fried my MPEM, maybe not. Could someone run me through the steps to troubleshoot the problem? Replaced the main fuse and it still doesn't work. What are the next steps? If I buy a used MPEM from EBAY, is that generally a safe bet? And is that a fairly straightforward DIY on this model? Thanks for your help, everyone! Of note, I'm 2 hours away from the ski, so when I go to fix it, I want to be as well armed as possible to get it running.
Note 2: There is a jet ski shop VERY close-by. $50 diagnostic fee, $100 dock visit fee (would be easier, but I could tow it to the nearest ramp). They told me to avoid Ebay MPEMs....but didn't offer an alternate solution for a 19 year old ski. 2nd opinion?
