Purchasing a 93 SPX

Hi I'm thinking of purchasing my first ski, a 93 SPX. Is there anything negative about this particular year and model I should know about? I tried finding reviews online and couldn't.
I did check out the used jetski buying guides and the things they told me to check seem to be ok. There were scratches on the bottom but no gouges.
Any help or guidance on this particular model or buying a used ski in general would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that link, I've already done a few of those things but I'll be sure to print it out and check as many as I can.

Another question I thought of pertains to docking my pwc. We've got a cottage so I'll just be leaving it up there for the summer, do I have to get a lift or can I just tie it to the dock like we do our boat?

Not recommended....

It's not recommended to leave your PWC in the water year round.

My plan would be to leave it tied to the dock just for the months of May, June, July, August when we go to the lake. I'd store it in the garage at home during the winter. Is it OK to leave it docked then or is a lift still recommended?
