My pump seems to be leaking oil from the impeller side. I am about to remove the pump. I have been reading posts on this forum and have most of it figured out. I have a 94 gtx. My question is, how is the shaft connected to the impeller? If I remove the 4 bolts that hold the pump to the hull and pull on the pump, will the shaft come out of the coupling up by the pto and pull through the hull or will the shaft come out at the impeller end? Is there anything that I need to do to uncouple the shaft or will it just slip out as I pull the pump?

just pull, chief...but disconnect the water hoses connected to the "spigots" that protrude thru the hole, that are affixed to the pump. Other than that, pull, the driveshaft will stay in place do to the o-ring or metal snap ring, behind the steel collar.
