So pulled the impeller and there is significant corrosion where the pump oil should be. There was still oil in the cone when I drained it.

First question: How would I go about fixing this.

Second question: Should I leave it and put the pump back together with new oil and just keep an eye on it. It slowly leaking out, look at getting a used one of ebay?IMG-20160110-01532.jpg

I already have the fins cleaned up

Assemble and pressure/vacuum Leak Checks (before filling oil) is an option.

If the bearings feel good and the impeller shaft is not cut by needle bearings then I'd try to replace just the lip seal and call it good. Leaking is the killer, if the oil leaks out, the bearings will be damaged quickly and seize, possibly damaging the housing also. Some people have used grease to avoid loss of lubricant!

The pump veins look all beat up also. I would look for a good used one. I know people here on the site have some.
