So after reading all these post about locked up motors, I decided to check mine beings I just purchased my boat. Well they are def. NOT locked up. But my ? is, is it possible to turn the PTO by hand. Because I took the grey cover off and exposed the PTO, removed the spark plugs and tried to turn with large pipe wrench but was not successful because lack of room, so I decided to try and turn by hand, and I was able to with a little force. But without a MPEM right now I am unable to do a compression test to check for myself. So just wondering. Thanks guys

Now that I read into it, it is NOT the PTO it is the Flywheel, sorry guys

Ahhhh, but it's both......

It's actually the PTO flywheel. Then, you have the magneto flywheel. So, your terminology is understood.

You should be able to turn the crank over rather easily. If you have to use a little force, it's just a tight engine. As long as it's not locked up, you should be o.k.

LOL, nice, just glad it's not locked up, by the way SNIPE u r the man with all the answers.. Than:cheers::cheers::hurray:ks again
