Just purchased a 1994 GTX (first time seadoo owner) and I noticed with the engine running the PTO flywheel is not spinning "square". It appears to be considerably out of alignment or out of balance? Is this normal? I checked the PTO appears to tight on the crank?

It should be spinning in balance. Are the motor mounts broken causing the whole engine to almost bounce? With the engine OFF, Grab the shaft attached to the PTO, and see if it moves. Everything should be sound and balanced unless something is in need or repair. Keep us posted to what you find.

Just a follow up, I replaced the PTO with a new one and now it is spinning "balanced". So apparently the PTO got bent buy the prevoius owner. I am now performing maintenance to the carrier bearing, shaft and rebuilding the jet pump. The service manuals are excellent;thanks for the help
