PTO came loose

My PTO came loose at lake, I am thinking about pulling plugs out and putting 1/4 rope in PTO side cylinder and hand turn PTO to TDC, and hand tight PTO or pipe wrench on shaft or PTO hub, than start and Rev up, dump back in lake and raise it to a plane, this gs has no room for my torque driver it's electric

Here’s what we do, pull the rear plug, rotate to just below Tdc, put 1/4 inch rope in there,
zRotate pto by hand to put pressure on the rope.
Remove grease fitting on the pto.
Put a pipe wrench on the pto.
Get a long pipe that will fit on the arm of the pipe wrench.
Use the leverage of the pipe on the pipe wrench to tighten the pto.
When we change the pto for racing, that’s how we do it without pulling the motor.
