Since this is the slow season for the forum here I thought I would ask is there any way to protect my mpem from the charging system of my 1997 challenger. I thought I remember seeing a thread a while back about adding a diode or isolator or something I'm not having any issues now but the motor is still original and I'm not sure what the stator looks like and hate to have it go bad and kill the mpem
Thanks Jeff

On each stator it is good to put a glob of silicone on the point connections.. The metal shavings from the starter bindex build up an make the pos and neg touch and can cause mpem blow out... Then the of course don't ever jump start the battery with it plugged into the boat, same with charging. You can charge it with it connected to the boat but its just not worth the risk.. Last make sure to not cross the neg to the pos on the battery...
