Primer gas

2001gs 717
It always been hard starting, after sitting for weeks, even after a total carb rebuilt. I usually put some primer gas down the the carb throat, after that it's fine as long as I use the ski, but one stupid question, should I been be pulling choke after putting in primer gas

Something is still not correct with your fuel system, all you should need is the choke.

But to answer your question, no, no choke if using primer gas.

I live in Texas, summer heat index 114 to 116 and my garage is still neatly 100, those rubber carb parts, must be under sticky stress

Not sure, I have had my skis in Laughlin at 125 degrees and they start just fine in the morning.
