Hi, I will become a premium member if someone will give me some honest advice on how to deal with my 96 gsx not starting ... as i stated earlier my son ran a hose on it without it running and it won't turn over with plugs in..... take plugs out and it cranks over fine.... purrs like a kitten.... put plugs back in a one crank and a clunk......i wd-40 the s....t out of it and there seems to be good compression, i put my hand over the plug holes and it's a strong flow of air without any moisture...... it ran perfect a week ago ?

is premium the way to go here ???

thanks

Hackdady, Sorry your having problems. Check the wire connections to be sure all the wiring is getting a good connection. Be sure the ground especially is clean on the starter. It could be a poor connection that under load of the compression it won't draw enough power to roll over the starter. Check in the jet pump to be sure nothing is in there causing it to have more friction to turn over. The next thing to check if all connections are good is the starter. It might be going bad and can't roll the engine over under compression. Give it a check and let us now.

Also the premium membeship isn't a bad idea. If you want you could join as a "premium member". As a premium member you can down load a authentic seadoo manual from the seadoo manual library. In the library is a variety of manuals for almost all years and models. You can view as many as you like on line as a PDF file, or download it and print it for your personal and privet use. There are operator manuals and repair manuals for you to do your own repairs on your seadoo. The repair manuals have everything from troubleshooting, repair procedures to winterizing. It contains wire diagrams torque specs and pictures for disassemble and assemble instructions. In the spec sheets it tells everything needed to maintain oil changes, spark plug gaps, carburetor rebuilds and impeller wear ring tolerances. Click on the "Seadoo Manuals" link at the top of the page for more details. If you need any help or get in a jam, we are always here to answer your questions too.

hi. couplea cranks-clunk-long beep. not enough juice. charge battery or better yet replace it. they only last one to two seasons anyway. i bet he didn't put a new battery in it this spring.

Victory - Im Started.... Thank You

Hi, I reconnected all the wires, put new plugs, shot a dash of starting fluid in, and then put a battery boost on her.... and she fired right up, blew a bunch of gunky crap outta the rear end and low and behold she is running perfectly....

any smart ideas on on cleaning this baby out, when i ran it without the spark plugs it got kinda messy inside....

again thank you:hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray:

Glad you got it fired up. Just a word of advice. NEVER use a JUMP BOX to start the seadoo. It WILL surge the module and cause severe electrical problems. It could be that the Battery is bad and needs replacement. If you run it with a bad battery it too will cause sever electrical problems. Also never charge the battery with it attached to the wiring in the seadoo. :cheers:
