Ive got a 97 SPX with the 787 motor in it.
It was running fine then one day it started cutting out/ surging, it gradually started doing it then it got worse. At first it was only doing it at full throtle but the started doing it under less throtle.
It doesn't feel like an ignition problem as it isnt missing as such it felt like a fuel problem so I replaced fuel lines and cleaned carbs, was still no good.
Someone told me to check the power valves so I took the tops off and found that one of them didnt have a spring under the top. I dont know where or how the spring is missing.
What effect would this have on the ski??
