Power Loss

04 Speedster 200.
The boat starts up fine and runs good for about 5 minutes maybe. then all of a sudden i get loss of power in the driver side motor. Also the battery light stays on for that particular motor. Is this an issue with the stator? Will the stator cause me to loose engine power at cruising speed? once i loose the power its wont do anything but put back to the launch. give it a day and i can get back up on a plane for 5 min and it starts all over again.

also do you have to pull the motors out to replace the stator?

I think you are on the right track as I have read many posts here that state a loss of power when the stator / rectifier goes bad.

I believe I read that if you disconnect it and it runs well, then that is the issue. What I don't recall was if it was the stator or the rectifier.

I am sure someone will jump in here shortly to either collaborate my thoughts or shoot me down,,

Thanks for some sort of reassurance. I suppose i will start testing them out with the volt meter this weekend.
