Is the positive battery cable a seadoo part or is it just a normal cable that can be had from a autoparts store. Mine seems a little rough. When I was out on the water and tried to start the boat the dess beeped very softly and the boat wouldn't turn over. I opened the battery box and wiggled the cable and the 2 beeps went back to normal and it started up.

They are just regular cables... but if you go to an auto parts store... they are going to have the wrong ends on them. You are better off looking at motorcycle cables.

I made my new cables up from parts bought at NAPA Auto Parts. Take a old cable with you, you can buy the right size terminal ends along with wire (by the foot) and make up your own cables. It takes a certain size terminal end to fit through the electrical box...

Thanks guys another question while I got the battery out how do u replace the battery box looks like mine has 4 rivets in the bottom but one is loose.? what Do they attach into?

If you get tinned copper cables and tinned lugs they will last longer. I just make my own when I need to replace one. I am pretty sure the box rivets in to the fiberglass of the boat.

I agree. While battery cable from an automotive store will work, it is not tinned. You should always use marine grade cable anytime you are re-wiring. Marine grade cable is tinned which will stop the inside of the cable from corroding. This is especially important if you boat in salt water, but even in fresh water it is better.
