Good day guys,

Hope all is still well with you guys. I would like to thank everyone that helped with my Seadoo problems, I got them all figured out.

Now I am back to ask more of your knowledge. I recently build up a Genesis and took it to the water the other day. I replaced all the parts in the engine and starts and runs fine outside the water. Once I put it in the water it will run up to about 25 to 30mph but when I do push the throttle it seems like it floods with gas and wont rev over 5000rpm. It does not have the power it should have at all.

It has the Ficht fuel injection. Then the fuel pump will stop pumping, once I reset the whole computer box it runs fine again for a while until I have to redo the whole process.

If you guys have any advise on what I can still look into to get it fixed it will be appreciated very much!

If it's getting to 5000 RPM, and feels OK otherwise.... then you are running on 2 cyl's.

It could be spark, or it could be fuel.

But do this.... put it in the water, and go for a short, half throttle ride. (just a minute or so, or a few 100 meters) Then stop, and feel the spark plugs. I bet one of them will be cold.

You need a load to do this check, but you don't want to run any longer than to get a little heat into it.

Once you know what cyl is dead... then you can.

1) Check for spark
2) Check for fuel
3) Check the compression.

FYI... I'm going to move this to the non-seadoo section.

I have done the temperature check using one of the infa-red guns.

Works great and it can easily see a significant difference.
