We have a 2008 Speedster 150 215 hp that just stopped working at the lake yesterday! It cranks fine, will go into gear, but when you give it throttle it won't go! Sort of like it's stuck in gear??? We were done skiing for the day and were just floating around while the gear was being packed away! Nothing was sucked up, already checked that.

Does anyone have any idea or suggestions??? It did have full service 3 weeks ago!

Thank you in advance for all your help!

It almost sounds like it is stuck in neutral. Did you say that the engine revs up fine (to ??? RPM) but just stays in one spot? Maybe check that the Forward-Neutral-Reverse lever is working fine and that the cable isn't broken.

It might be that the wear ring is shot. If the throttle allows the rpm's to go up and it won't go, it is the wear ring. Look inside the jet pump for any small item like a stick or something hiding in the impeller. If the wear ring around the impeller is chewed up and you can see a large space around the impeller, It will need a wear ring.
