Hello I have a 97 GSI. I saw this part upon inspection today. Does it attach anywhere?

It is a check valve for the fuel tank

On some models, it just hangs loose in the hull
On most models, it protrudes out to the atmosphere under the bond flange,
So check all the way around the bond flange and see if you have a hole. If not,,, it just hangs loose in the hull, maybe just throw a zip tie on it

Anytime, ironically I just had 2001 gts with a “ dangling”
Check valve
