Hello,

I've been searching for Sea Doo Challenger 180 for a while and finally, I think it is time to choose bewteen the following boats.
Each boat is relatively clean but has normal wear on the boat for the age. I can afford the most expensive boat in the list but would like to save if I can.

All being equal, which boat is the best deal and why?

Thanks for your help in advance

2005 Sea Doo 180 with 70 hours, factory wake tower, 215 HP for $13,000 (no update is done to super charger)

2008 Sea Doo 180 with 75 hours, factory wake tower, 251 HP for $16,000

2010 Sea Doo 180 with 31 hours, factory Wake tower, 255 HP for $20,000

2012 Sea Doo 180 with 25 hours, factory Wake tower, 255 HP for $22,500, Some warranty left over

I would eliminate the 05 due to the year and the hours compared to your other options...

If money is a MAJOR factor in your decsion, then the 08 is a good opetion keeping in mind you will have a Super Charger rebuild in your near future. One thing to check is, if it has been rebuilt already as the ceramic washers are engine killers. This issue was eliminated in 09, so the newer boats you listed should have the metal washers.

If money is not the major factor, then i would do the 2012 as you have many hours before a rebuild and it will hold its value better than the 2010...

Looked on ebay and a powersports dealer in Nashville IL has a new 2012 Challenger 180 up for bid. His sell it "now" price is $23,500, but will probably take less. There may be others, too. When I purchased my Speedster, got 4 extra years of warranty (no charge) during a special from SeaDoo, in addition to the standard one year warranty. Not sure if there are warranty deals right now with with the remaining new boats on the market.

Found my boat at a dealer in New York on ebay. It was a 1400 mile round trip picking up the new boat.
