if i have a plastic jet pump is it bad to bolt on an aluminum venturi and steering nozzle to it? I broke my plastic steering nozzle, keep reading about aluminum nozzles and they seem to be the way to go.

As long as it fits properly, go for it. Big thing is making sure you have a good seal between the pump body and the venturi surface.

Go for it....

No, there shouldn't be any problem, as long as they match up. You'll want to be careful not to over torque.

I've never heard of somone just breaking their venturi or steering nozzle. Are you rough housing it? If so, you may look at your riding habits. Because if your breaking the weakest link and you strengthen it by switching to aluminum, then your pump housing becomes the weakest link. Do you know how much it will cost to replace the housing?.......

i bought the ski just recently and had this happen over the weekend. looking at the broken nozzle it looks like it had been hit previously where it cracked so this was obviously a previous wound.
