Piston marks. With pics.

Can anyone tell me how this happened? Side of cylinder has the same marks.

That was a light seizure. Basically that piston stuck... and then got broken loose. Most likely for being over heated.

Do you think no oil or anything may have contributed to it? I'm having it all repaired. I just want to make sure that everything has been checked. Funny that it's only on the piston skirt 3/4 up from bottom of said skirt. The crank and rods are in good condition still. I did everything to check them that everyone has told me to. I even got a rubber hammer and tapped on the top of the rods to see if they made noise when hit back towards the crank. No noise. They are tight. Not very many hours on this ski. Just curious if it is an oiling problem OR if that stuck rave valve caused it. Same cylinder. I see some marks on the rings on that piston also. I just don't want to get it all back together and "BAM!!!" it happen all over again.
