That's the nice thing about SoCal. Early 90's Toyota... still in good shape. Here in PA... it would be a rotten hunk of junk. (from the salt on the roads, during the winter)
But... I'm glad to see you got away from puddle-stone lake. I know you've been running local... but now you need to head out to Parker or Havasu.
Thanks Doc,
I had my reservations set for Laughlin (Lake Mohave & Lake Mead) at the end of May, but they just rebuilt the engine in the 4runner, I got it back the day before I was to drive to Laughlin, I was going to risk driving the new rebuilt, since I have my Triple AAA plus Boat & RV, but for the sake of my new engine, and just something bad happening I decided to cancel my reservations to the Tri State Area.. and break in my new engine locally...
So I have been staying local, but now I have about 1200 miles in my new engine, so Im ready to embark to go to Lake Havasu!
I have been told that the East Coast older cars rust like crazy. The 4runner when I got it had a slow oil leak, so it kept everything rust free from the slow oil leak, I guess the previous owner just added a couple of quarts when needed, and the oil had the great effect of not rusting anything on the bottom of the truck.. Funny how something you wish to get rid of (the oil leak), has a positive effect down the line.
So I saw your post on another forum that BRP is providing Chaparral and another manufacturer with our Rotax 1503 engines..
I wonder if any boat manufacture will pick up the Seadooo Speedster 150 design, or another design but in the $15,000 to $25,000 range..
havent seen anything exciting? I know this would be for another post.. but just asking anyway..
