Hi guys n gall's.
On the verge of buying my first ever boat and am torn between an 05 sportster with a 4stroke rotec with roughly 40hrs on teh clock and an 07 speedster with an 1503 rotec engine with 66 hrs on the clock.with the speedster I know I need to have the sc checked out to see if it's been done or not as they are prone to dying all of a sudden.but for the rest I wouldn't have a clue so
Any hints and tips what to look out for on either models would be greatly appreciated and as soon as one is on the drive way i'll be posting pic's :)

although they are the same 1503 engine, they are different. the latter call a long engine. it had some improvements made in the engine design. i would go with latter year, but dont believe any one until you see a print out of the ecu history and servicing.

Hi Pete, the latter one with 66hrs on the clock has An ecu printout, had a compression test done and was less than 5% deviation in the 3 cylinders. The first one is closer to me to check just would need to find a dealer that can do a read out.As far as looks go one red other black yellow , and both take my fancy.Price wise , the 07 is priced at euro 2800 incl trailer and thats roughly the same in USD and the 05 with less hrs is priced at 4200.
