Painting Hydro Turf- Any one done this?

Hi all,

I have grey hydro turf on my boat and would like paint it for the black look. Has anyone attempted this? and if so, what paint did you use?

Might be off the wall here but have you thought about lifting it with heat guns then dying it? You could get new 3m adhesive.

Personally, I would just order the black kit. If you paint it or dye it, it will just look like sh*t in a year or so. My $0.02.

I completely agree with you with. I've done this, but it not even last till a year. Just after 6-7 months it was looking so bad. I guess the original color was best rather to repaint it. Or just order a new black kit.

Personally I think after people walking on it, the paint will possibly start to peal and look like sh*t... It would be better just to buy the hydroturf in a colour you want

Man, that is why I bought mine in black. You can never go wrong with black.

Hydro turf is easily cleaned up with simplegreen and a scrub brush, the white lettering on a set i had was yellowing bad and looked grimey but simple green made it look like new, but i dont know about trying to paint it and ending up,with a good result
