Tripped the exhaust temp sensor faulty code (P0544) right after installing a free flow exhaust. Started it up and ran for 30 sec without water hose hooked up then the temp light started flashing and scrolling exhaust temp P0544. Did I do something or is it because of the free flow the temp got high quick?

i really cant help much with your issue but i do hve a question.. did you install the thru hull free flow from riva? or did you just get the pipe that attaches to the stock exhaust ?

either way im really curious to how it sounds..

I wanted to get the pipe that attaches to the factory outlet. I didn't wanna drill my hull for the rear exit. However Riva no longer offers it for the 08 RXT so I made my own. The video is loading now. Will post it over in the Performance Forum when it's done uploading.

awesome man thanks!!...

maybe i should snatch up one of the last remaining ones from ebay.. for my gtx before times too late haha

Today I went back in the garage and decided to see if the ski is still having this issue. Plug the lanyard in and no more flashing light or scrolling messages. I fired it up and let it run for 15sec and nothing. Me thinks it just got hot and sensor went into stupid mode and threw the code? What do you guys think?

What it does it reduces back pressure allowing the engine to rev a little higher (70-100rpm) at wide open throttle. That should give you a slight increase in top speed but nothing drastic. Maybe 1mph. It just sounds cool.
