I had the ski out to day it ran fine for about 20 mins then just died would not start. opened the engine cover and smoke came out of the engine compartment I thought the engine overheated but when I went to feel the head it was cool and so was the exhaust pipe coming off the engine. but as the smoke cleared I noticed that the lower pipe had melted the Styrofoam insulation that surrounds the hull and you could feel the heat off the pipe.

Got it on the trailer and opened the rear hatch and found that the pipe that runs to the muffler had the paint burned off and the rubber hose that connects to the muffler had a hole burned into it as well as the clamps burned into the rubber.

Anyone have an Idea whats going on ? I have lots of water coming out of the vent on the side of the ski when its going
