over rev and spooling

i have a sea doo islandia with dual rotax motors . lately we have had a problem with the motor spooling up and not grabbing water( don't know how else to explain it) .. we have checked the jets and nothing has been injested. this time. this problem seems like the intakes are sucking air.. and when this happens the motor over revs above 73K .. and suggestions would be appreciated.

If the engine revs fine and you dont go anywhere, you are sucking air somewhere. Even though you dont see anything in there, the wear ring may be shot. You said nothing in there, "this time" Have you sucked stuff up before? If so, the ring probably just got beat up. Easy fix.

thank you for your response... how easy??? where is it located ? . the local seadoo dealer has been difficult to deal with
should i replace one or two .. is there an easy way to figure out which one is bad?
