Hi all, new to the forum, just picked up a new to us pwc 97 seadoo gsx with 42 hours on it, it did not come with any documentation ie owners manual etc.. what are the weight limits on this thing? was hoping to be able to pull a tube with it, but laws in our state say one rider/one observer/for towables. And also does this unit need to be flushed after use will be used in freshwater, any help for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.. btw it has the 78? motor in it if that matters. Two stroke oil injected. Only thing wrong with it that i know of is no fuel gauge.

Somewhere on the ski it should say the weight limit. Its got plenty of power to pull a tube, but like you said, not legal, so your choice if you wanna take the chance. Does not need to be flushed if used in freshwater... and its got the 787 engine....

My 96 GSX has a sticker on the rear left side. The sticker states that it is Cost Gaurd exempt of a few requierd cost gaurd regulations. One of those is number of person. You may double check state laws about pulling a tuber. Here in TX you have to have driver observer and rider. But pwc are exempt from having a observer. Alos if your boat has a mirror you are observer exempt.
