...and yet it snowed north of Toronto yesterday and the white stuff is still on the ground... How depressing is that? Maybe it will be an early Spring, but it's doubtful considering it took a while to get going in the first place.

Ugh. :(

78*.........

Snow!.........it was 78* down here today! I didn't take the boat out, but I'm going out on Saturday. Man, I don't know what I'd do it it were only hot a month or two out of the year.

I guess you get used to it.........

SNOW...we have white stuff like that too...but we call it beach sand. It got real down right chilly last night...it was down to like 78*f. it is still in the high 80's f. here during the day. Water temp is like 86*f also...not that I'm rubbing it in or anything...:ack::) ...of course our economy is bad right now...

I got 6 nice months of boating in. April 09 boat gets fired up:cheers:

:boxing_smiley: KustomKarl !!!!! Man... that's why alot of Canadians live in Florida for the winter!
We do have about 6 months of boating available to us, but its only really hot for 2-3 months, otherwise a wetsuit helps in cooler temps.
I don't know what I would do if I lived in a Southern climate, I would never get any work done!! The Winter is the time for catch up on work/home projects.
This will be my first winter with the 08 GTX, and I'm already dreaming of April/May... Its goin' be a looong winter if I keep thinking this way.

Yeah winter definitely sucks. But yes we get an easy 6-7 months in here in Mass. Sometimes it is nice in March and we can get out. Hell I remember riding my motorcycle 2 yrs ago in January as it was 60 out. It was just a weird week that week a nice warm front came up from FL and stayed all week.

Unfair! I just bought my first ski ever, Ive rode a few times and always wanted one, go figure I cant pass up a deal and the day I go get it its 32 that night.. How much good does a wet suit do if I got one? Missouri has alot of crazy warm days, gets to 70 on thanksgiving sometimes...

You would really be surprised at how much a wet suit does for you. You wouldn't even feel the water except on your feet and hands. That is if you got a full body wetsuit.

ebay seems to have good deals on full body WETsuits.. but drysuits i noticed are pretty pricey! I think it would be awesome to have a drysuit based on the research I have done on them but who has 500 to dump on one?
who else is impressed with a standard 3mm wetsuit?

Wet suit?.....

A full body wet suit isn't that bad. Unless your not going to get wet! They are really good for scuba or snorkling in the colder temps because once wet, they act as an insulation barrier to your body heat and keeps you warm. But, if your only using it for riding and you don't get wet, get a dry suit.

I think winter is already here. It is snowing right now in Ottawa ON and we have a winter storm warning in effect right now :ack:

Let it snow!

Geeezzz, that's why they got mountains. So you can put your single "ski" up and drop two on the ground, push off and go. Any of you Canadians snow ski??? It is time to embrace the cold!:hurray:

Ya we are getting blasted up here. It's a blizzard out there....good thing I got my winter tires put on yesterday!

Its even in the 40s today in Tampa! Wow we are in for a cold winter!

winter...winter...winter....im trying to remember what that is......

is that when its cold or something? huh ohwell have fun with that

geez im such a rookie! I got the wetsuit off ebay, hope to have it soon! Its full body, and this weekend its suppose to hit 70-72 outside here in MO. Is that warm enough to have a little fun with the suit on??????

That suite, depending on the thickness should be good to the freezing point...then the water is ice.

As long as you have gloves and booties!! Hands are the first part to go!

ya we got dumped on last night, My 20min drive to work to me 1hr30min this morning cause of all the down power lines and tree's and a couple slow florida drivers were in my way as well. Snow is fun though cant wait till we get a good ft+ all at once so i can do some snowboarding behind the truck:cheers:

Its official!!!! 7mm suit, gotta go get gloves though, and OFF I GO TO THE LAKE SATURDAY!@! Its gonna be 74 degrees here in SW missouri!!!

Hell at 74 degrees I bet the water is warmer than the air. I wouldn't even bother with a wetsuit in those conditions. I would go in just shorts!! Have fun though I am sure you will.

I hate cold water... lol. But this will give me an idea of how early in the spring I can plan to drop the ski in again!!!! woohooooo

My knuckles and bottom half of my legs froze at the 60mph range when I went just a few weeks ago. It was still 77F, but the water temp was already down to 65F.
gloves and a full suit is the way to go, probably going to get one in the Spring.

So wet or dry? I plan to jump in the water with it once in a while, maybe not in the early Spring...Is wet hard to get on when it's dry? I know sometimes you have to soak them first...?
