One long beep while running

First post on here so bare with me. My 2002 gtx di sat for years. New top end and gas got her going. It had a long beep after a few mins of running and did so every so often. It decided not to run but a few seconds after the 3Rd ride. Shop said it needed a computer. They wanted a grand. I obtained a computer online for half.

It runs great again but still that annoying long beep every 3 mins or so. I've read the key needs programmed but it's a new key with a new computer. Any guesses? This shop is robbing me blind...

If it starts then the key does not need programmed. One long beep is often a low fuel signal. Is the fuel gauge working?

That would be my guess then. It is pretty easy to fix. In many cases, it is nothing more than a magnet that has fallen from the enclosed unit. BRP has an updated style. I believe it s a white one where the original is black. I could be wrong on which is which, but I know I am right that they are a different color..

Do a search on the FUEL BAFFLE or FUEL GUAGE not working. Many have do the repair. There is also a "F1" fuse that fails, many have soldered over the fuse to solve that. There are some simple basic tests you can do to confirm if it is the in tank fuel stuff or the dash indicator. Just a matter of moving a wire to test the dash parts.

My 02 GTX Di has a fuel pump in the tank and fuel sender very similar to a car in-tank set up. Uses a float and rheostat for the sender, not the baffle style.
I believe it also has a low fuel message on the screen. I haven't run my fuel low, but I did get a message for low oil, once, and the beep only sounded when I hooked up the lanyard. Did not repeat, once running, just flashed the message.

Yeah this one has the in tank as well. I don't have the low fuel message. I don't get any info on fuel on the dash. Still researching the suggested search for a remedy

With Low Fuel, you should have a text message on the info gauge, and the red lamp will flash.

I tested mine as I rebuilt it. I had empty fuel and oil tanks, and the info center tracked.

On mine there is nothing. No lights or any of that. I did get a low oil text the other afternoon. But no low fuel or anything. It's just blank
