I have a 2010 Challenger 230 SE, 510 HP. When going at about 3000 rpm and I try to accelerate slowly the port engine revs up to about 1000 to 1500 rpm higher than starboard. Does not appear to do it if I am in a left turn. What could be causing this. Grating is clear, good water flow.

Key word...2010!

Heres' the key word, it's a 2010. You should not be making any adjustments to your engine linkages. This is a problem for the dealer. When these engines are prepped, this is something that should already be done.

They will connect it to the computer and B.U.D.S.and set the motors to run in sequence. Do not allow them to charge you, this is their problem. The boat is not even a year old yet.

If you dont' get the service you expect, you can call the main branch of Seadoo USA or the BBB..........

Hello Snipe,

Thanks for the response. I guess I should have clarified a little further. The revving only lasted for a couple of seconds or until I back off the throttle. Dealer has narrowed it down to possibly a bad impeller causing cavitation. Unfortunately, they will have to drop the "shoe" and that takes me out of the water.

What is acceptable difference in rpm's between the two motors?

Also, if you will, take a look at my latest post about the hull.

Thanks
