Boat is a 1998 sportster 1800 with twin 720s.

Problem. All 4 spark plugs were loose, I had no idea until I looked. Oil all over the place. But while running, got a continuous beep. Shut down. Waited. Went again and then it was good for 5-10 min. Then beep again. Continued beep even after key was pulled. Could no reset with yellow switch. Then had hard time restarting. Put key on, no sound, no starter kicking in. Nothing.

So I have since replaced the plugs and charged battery. Hoping that helps. I am wondering if the low compression and loss of oil from the plugs caused it to alarm and go into safety mode for a bit.

What are your thoughts?

long continuous beep is overheating.
Check pump for any blockage but running with spark plug loose probably contributed to overheating.

Now the new no nothing is a different story.
In you hurry was it in neutral?

Report back what happens with charged battery and it you get the two beeps when you put key on.

I was in neutral. I'm thinking battery. Checked for weeds and stuff. All clear.

We will be heading out shortly for some wakeboarding and trick skis. Hopefully all is well.

Have you checked the oil level?

I didn't mention it since he knew he lost oil but are you on oil injection or premix?

Less worry if premixing since RV is bathed vs being fed and your mixing gas and oil 40:1

Check compression if you can to make sure engine still healthy.

Running oil injection.

Ran great last night. No problems. Today. No more oil spray, engine is cycling water as I have hot water coming out both sides. There is a leak in exhaust that has a stream of water slowing spraying out.

I still got 1 long beep today after 10-15 min of running. Going to change plugs and seal leak. Any ideas

The continuous beeping is overheating, make sure you are getting coolant through engine block and not leaking somewhere. it may taka a little while for it to overheat if you are getting some cooling but not enough.
