Anyone have an onboard battery tender installed on their boat? If so, any photos of the install. I want to add one for when it's parked in my driveway. I have a few ideas, I want a simple plug in and your ready to go type thing. I was thinking about adding a 110 passthrough plug (like Noco has) you can easily plug an extension cord into. Thoughts, ideas photos??

im torl it not a good idea to havre a battery tender on my seadoo as it could daaged the computer. id think your boat may have the same motors. so it probably would be best to turn your battery switch off assuming there is one before charging like disconnecting the batteries.

but I don't know just what I heard

I always turn the batteries off but want to keep the battery up to its best performance at all times.

Perfect exactly what I was thinking of doing. Does this setup work well for you? Any problems?

No problems at all. I did it for a couple of situations.

1) when I'm at the beach rental, I have the charger hooked up so that the occasional downpour won't drain the battery with the bilge pump running.

2) at home, I use the boat about 3x a month and want to make sure I always have a full charge.

Works great for both cases. The only minor issue is that I can't see the indicator lights without lifting the engine compartment hatch. No big deal, though.

Thanks for the information. I like the location of the plug going through the hull, I can do the same location, we have the same exact boat. Does your extension cord plug in there or is it a hole in the hull to pass through an extension cord?

It is a plug designed for the purpose. I'll try to find the part on amazon and post it. It was designed to hold the plug on the charger.

I ended up with a NOCO onboard battery charger. Super happy with it, easy to install. I used a NOCO passthrough plug on the rear deck.
