Just bought a 97 GTX that has a new factor engine installed but, the previous owner let it sit for months. I have ran it for about 3.5 hours now and it has a miss in it at around 4500 rpm. It idles and tops out fine and has good power etc.

Old fuel in carb? Plugs? Any way to "flush" the carbs?
Thanks for the help.

Welcome aboard seadooforum.com!

If you have a new engine, then I strongly recommend a carb rebuild to get things started on the right foot.

The tiny filters inside the carbs do not lend themselves to being flushed clean when the carbs are assembled. You really have to take apart the carbs to properly clean those filters.

This link contains lots of valuable information about the fuel system and the common problems for this generation of Seadoos.
