ok the first question is when my fuel tank was full with 2 guys i couldnt get the boat to plane out, im hoping the reason why is the pics, the wear ring was totally scored and the impellar had a nasty bend in the leading edge, good thing i found out when i pulled it was its a skat trak 14.5-22.5 exactly what i have so i can send this one in and get it refurbished, also when i looked at the parts diagram for the ride shoe it shows a neopream seal that my local dealer has for 7.00 but he has one listed that goes in front of that for 45.00 when i pulled mine apart all that was on there was the neopream one, am i missing the spendy one? also in the pics you can see the vanes on the diffuser one has a large chip missing and the other 2 are scratched up a little, got my new carbon seal and boot and stainless cup with o rings in today, also a huge chunk of my gelcoat gor ripped off and i found some slow curing epoxy first coat in the pics, waiting for it to cure so i can put another coat on, thanks again for the advise and sorry for the long post

You shoudln't need anymore epoxy, since it doesn't need to be pretty. You just need enough to seal the glass. When you put your new shoe in... you will coat it in RTV to seal the air out. (and you will never see it again)

As far as the seal... I have no idea what the "$45" seal is. Did he give you a part number?

That pump has seen a rough life. With a good impeller, and new ring... it should be fine. But, since it's apart... make sure the bearings and pump shaft are good.

heres the part number #204120003 its 45.99 in the pic you can see the thin ring of aluminum glued to the ride shoe and the neopreme seal glues to the 45.99 ring, mines ok, hey dr honda is it possible to wrap the top half of the boat in vinyl? like black and grave digger green? the inner sides floor console everything? about the pump, you suggested a bronze pump so im watching ebay for one for my challenger, they have plenty for xps with 2 tubes coming out, not sure if any 140mm pump will work and i can just plug one tube or not

For the most part... all the 140mm pumps are interchangeable. There are some differences... but they will all work. If you can get a bronz pump at a good price... grab it.

I'm sure you can do a wrap... but I can't make anything like that. Also... wraps don't last long. (and are expensive)

I guess the 96 challenger had a spacer. Just remove it from your old shoe and glue it on your new one.

Yeah that's just a spacer, I was surprised to find one on my shoe as well.

Hit up minnetonka4me for a used pump, I have numbers of a couple other guys with used parts (pwc parts, but the pumps are the same) as well, just pm me if you want them.

ok here it is the last rideshoe for a 96 challenger on the planet, ups had it sitting at my door when i got home, now all i have to do is get the fiberglass off of it, any ideas short of starting it on fire, maybe using a heat gun on the adhesive and a putty knife and work my way around it?2012-07-27_16-27-39_343.jpg2012-07-27_16-26-01_450.jpg2012-07-27_16-26-56_424.jpg

I guess that's one way of getting it out of the boat. (lol) It's a shame that they cut the cables.
