Oil Tank vice Oil/gas mixture

I picked up two 1995 sea-doos with 587 engines. One has an oil tank and one does not. Nothing in the repair manuals discuss or mention a oil tankless model. Did sea-doo make a model that required you to mix the fuel and oil?

Can you be sure that somebody didn't hack off the oil tank and make it a pre-mix motor?

All modern 2 stroke seadoo's have an injector system. It must have been removed by the previous owner.

Removed tank?.....!

If this oil tank was removed, look under the carb(s) and you should see a nipple coming out from the bottom of the block. This is the vent off the rotary chamber. It should have a hose on it. Trace that hose and see where it goes to. If it loops back around to the nipple on the opposite side, you need to disconnect it and hook it back up to an oil tank as soon as possible. At the very least, check the rotary shaft chamber for oil........:cheers:
