I am new to the Ski seen and I have been seeing mixed opinions on oils. I recently purchased a 1993 Sea Doo GTS. The guy i bought it from was premixing and so am I. I ran for the first time on saturday and it ran strong. I do have a few questions though.

It currently has Quicksilver premium 2-cycle oil in it TCW-3 certified. Is that oil ok or should I use something different?
If so do I need to drain the oil from the resevoir that lubes the impeller or is it ok for that?
Is a 40:1 ratio ok? that is what he used and I used on saturday.
what fuel should I use? The guy I purchased from used 93 but the manual says 87.

Thanks,

Sorry if any of these are noob questions I just want to keep my purchase in good shape!!

TCW-3 is not the corect oil for that ski.....seadoo's ned to have an api-tc oil ....you dont have to use fully synthetic in that ski so quicksilver does make oil for your ski it will say on the back that it is API-TC rated..... 40:1 is a good ratio BUT........ when he went to premix did he leave the oil tank with all the lines hooked up? If not the you are headed down a bad road ...seadoo's have a ROTARY valve that needs to be lubed by the oil tank and if he went o premix and removed the tank or pluged the lines then you will toast your engine....

Thanks, I will check the oil to see if it is rated api-tc.
As far as the premix goes. The tank is there and one of the 2 lines are plugged. He told me that i still need to keep oil in the tank to lube something?? I do not know what it was. Is there only 2 points of lubrication? The fuel mixture and the Rotary valve?

and any info on the gas 87 or 93? does it matter?

Thanks for your help!

and can I mix the quicksilver PWC oil with the quicksilver TCW-3 oil? I still have the TCW-3 in the gas tank as well as the oil tank for the rotary valve. Do i need to drain everything or should it be ok just to start using the PWC stuff on the next fuel fill up as well as the oil tank for the rotary?

Thanks,

drain it all do not mix it... as far as gas run the 87 it will be just fine..... there are 2 points of connection for the oil tank one goes to the RV and one goes to the oil pump...he prolly disconnected the oil pump and plugged it which is fine... there is a return line on the opposite side of the engine thats for the RV too is circulates the oil back in the tank...
