oil pump

My 92 GTS is all stock, all original... My concern is that it is a very old machine and I want to make sure it keeps getting oil, last summer I realized it was using oil but not very much... for like every 5 tanks of gas the oil is still still 3 quarters full... What should I be doing to my oil pump to insure its reaching its full potential?

If in doubt, I would replace the pump. It is a mechanical pump but unable to be rebuilt in any manor. In the seadoo manual is a test you can do to see if it is generally working correct but it isn't exact.
