Oil pump cable removal

How am I supposed to remove the oil pump cable from the carburetor? I removed the nut from the piece where the cable ends at throttle arm. However, that piece doesn't move. Also, there's a black guide down towards the oil pump... I'm not sure if you are supposed to remove that piece or not. I dont see anything in the shop manual for removing that cable. Should the threaded piece with two nuts on it move when I loosen one of the nuts?

Here's the parts diagram, the pump end just slips out, kinda like a hand brake on a bicycle, the carb. end is fastened with a bolt.
