just had a ? i am going to premix what advantage does it give me to put on a oil pump block off plate on the oil pump in sted of crossing the hoses over to each other thanks danos:confused:

If you don't do the Block off plate you need to remove the gear from the injector pump so as not to burn it up. It relies on the injector oil to keep it cool while it spins.

If the injector is pumping oil and its connected to the injector tank...why are you wanting to go premix? If you have the rotary valve, you need to leave it attached to keep it lubriciated in the crank case anyway.

it scares me

i just get worried heard a lot of horror stories i cant tell if the pump is working right i primed it and road it and after could not see oil in the lines i will try to ajust the arm on the pump again via linkage when i primed it it was pumping now cant tell

Premix set up for full load will always be a little overkill on the oil mixture at low speeds.

The injection system is demand based. So at idle, it will use very little oil/fuel. It increases at higher loads. Saves oil, uses what it needs when it needs it. Just make sure it is bled out properly.

I know what you mean. The thing I like about the injector is that it is a variable rate pump. It pumps oil at a different rate depending on the rpm's the engine is at. In the long run it saves you money in oil and fouled plugs. There is a test in the manual that gives you a good idea if it is pumping at the correct rate, but you need a high speed dremel to get the correct rpm's to test it. The pump to replace is kinda pricey at like $200.00 I think, if memory serves me right. If you go to premix it will always be at 50:1 at all rpm's, but it is peace of mind, on a 94 machine.

bleed

i started the ski and at idel and pulled the leaver open with my hand and filled both lines to bleed is this correct

Well...to bleed the air out of the lines you must open the bleeder screw on the pump when it is not running. Keep it open for a lil bit until you see a nice bit of oil coming out with no air bubbles. Then tighten it back down and run at idle while holding the pump lever to full open, it should act a little different when you got it open and should smoke a little more too, that will get the lines going to the carb primed.

i will try it

i will losen the main bleeder and try that i think i will still run some oil in the gas better safe then broke ,spark plugs 2 dallors. motor 800.00 :)

If you wanna do that then go ahead with the oil bleed and prime. Mix gas and oil at 50:1 and keep an eye on the oil level to make sure it's dropping in the tank to let ya know it's working.
