Oil Injection Needed

I have a 1997 speedster with the 717 engines. When I got the boat, and now, it is pre mix. I would like to put oil injection back on the engines. With that being said I am in need of every piece for the oil injection from the tank, oil level sender, cables, pumps, drive gears. And everything I am leaving out. If anyone has info on where a compete setup is, I would appreciate the help. If it matters my engines have single carbs. Thanks.
 
PM minnetonka4me or 99spxxx, they will have the parts you need with maybe the exception of the oil tank.

You can have mine...everything but the tank and sensor...to me it's alot safer to premix then theses units with plastic gears...let me know
 
I have a 1998 speedster, I don't thing there is much of a difference from yours, but who knows. I was under the impression that You cannot simply remove the oil injection system, and use a premix in the gas, because I'm fairly sure that it injects oil separatly to the drive shaft. If your's is still running, and the system has been removed, then I guess you can remove it.
 
I am pretty sure you can mount about any dual 2-stoke engine tank on that boat. Most people keep the tank or you have to loop the lines for the RV's so get oiled proprety. I guess this matter how much you have to pay to put the whole system back on to how much you use the boat in a season. You could easiely speed $300 plus gathering all the parts and lines for it. You get about 1 gallon of oil to 40 gallons of gas pre-mixing. So lets say on the average a person gets double of that with injection. Will you get back your money you spent on putting back in the system? Its just something to think about. If you had the whole system still in place and they just plugged the lines why not, but if you won't use the boat enough to justify the cost of oil to parts why do it. If you used like 600 gallon of gas a season yep I would put it back on. If you use like 200 a season I don't know if I would justify the money and time to do it.
 
It's the rotary gear that requires lubrication, so you need to leave the tank in to provide drip lubrication to the rotary valve gear, and return the oil to the tank.
