is it normal to have oil in the hull of a 2 stroke seadoo? its not a lot but there is oil in the bottom of both of my seadoo's i have been told this is normal...but i want other opinions.

Absolutely not....I don't have a drop in my 1997 Challenger. The only way oil will be in the hull is if you spilled it or it is leaking from somewhere. It should be clean and dry...maybe a little condensation moisture but that is all.

found it today. the oil tank is put together in two halves. top and bottom meet together in a plastic seal. the seal is leaking on the right side just enough when full to cause the leak. im gonna try some stuff called seal all and see if that will fix the leak before replacing the tank. seal all says it works oil and gas. we shall see lol...thanks for the response.

well i used the seal all on it this morning let it set for 6 hrs, cleaned hull out, filled up with oil, went riding....NO LEAK. i used the entire tube of seal all but hell for 4 dollars it was worth it no question. that stuff did the job i am shocked. thanks for the advice guys.

The other way to fix it if it leaks again is look in the yellow pages for a company that does Plastic Welding. There is one here that repairs plastic tanks like gas tanks and oil injector tanks. For like $10.00 he actually heats it up and it welds back the seam...look in your area, or buy a new tank.
