Oil grommet

Is there anything I can do to help better seal the rubber grommet that seats in the oil tank ? Silicone ? Or is it better to just seat it in there and give it a go ? Thanks

If it is leaking replace it. The original seal is designed to seal on its own without anything added to it like silicone or anything else.
