Never been much of a fan on oil injection, prefer knowing, that oil is being injested, with other skis' and previous boat, always installed the block-off plates, but with this new boat, havn't got around to install'n one, but know don't know if I should, reason being, this boat with injection, if any "consumes" any oil. I've put about 5hrs w/ 4 outings, so, not much use, but looks to me that oil level as yet to subside any....Should I be worried, or this is about how little u=se it has, cuz if so, darn, goin premix sure uses "WAY TON" more.....

I would hate to know what my boat would use for oil if I went premix!:ack:

As it is with the injection setup I used about 3/4 of a gallon last summer. If I was to premix every time it would probably be more in the neighborhood of six or seven gallons. The way mine is right now the boat never smokes at all, even on cold start up or extended idling. Also my plugs look like they came from a four stroke (Yay no plug fouling:hurray:).

If I had to go premix, I would probably end up selling the boat to get a newer 4tec. Just my 2 cents.

Varible rate?...

Premix, ..........yeah, you use way more in oil than you need.

I use about a gallon to a gallon and a half per season. If I'd had premixed, I would have used about 3 or 4 gallons.

If you can, the varible rate oil injection system is the way to go.........

Yah really, seemed like always goin out of way find'n the stuff, and last minute wanted to go ride, just grab'n oil off shelves at gas station. Spent tons of coins on it...
