I recently changed the oil and oil filter on my 2003 SeaDoo GTX Supercharged ski. The next time I went out the oil alarm and limp home mode activated. Sure enough, it was low on oil. I topped it off and took it out this morning. After running for about 15 minutes the oil alarm and limp home mode activated again. I checked the oil level and it is full. Is there a procedure that requires deactivation of an alarm? Or, am I facing some other issue? Help.

There is no deactivation required. I think you're facing another problem. Ride the ski and when the warning comes on press the "SET" button 5 times and see what code comes up on the gauge. Reply back here and we'll see what the code means.

Thanks Dennis. I'll check this out in the next day or two and see what happens. Stay tuned.

Dennis....being curious about this, I went back to double-check things. Discovered the o-ring is missing at the top of the filter cap. Dunno where that went during my oil change, but have ordered the three o-rings and a new filter. Will install all new parts when they arrive and see if that solves the problem. Will keep you posted. :stupid:

Finally got a chance to install the new set of O-Rings and Oil Filter this afternoon. Took the ski out for over an hour. Ran it out at all speed ranges and no oil alarm or limp home. Moral of the story is to be SURE to replace all three O-Rings when changing the oil and filter.
