hey everyone,

Purchasing a great '98 Challenger 1800 tomorrow like new condition, for work and some, only a little play. ya ok.
We do shorebird population and ecology assessments along Lake Ontario and some inland lakes in Muskoka, Georgian Bay etc. Since birds are still loving this weather we are having, we want to take the boat out on the weekend in 15c temps.

Question: it has been winterized, what do we need to do to de-winterize the twin 787's
AND... what do you think about using it in 5c-10c atmoshperic temps. We do store it in heated facility during these months of cold weather ops but don't anticipate operations in less that 5c temps.
oh an btw, short shorts and bikinis are part of the summer uniform, Mustang suits are cold weather op gear.

I think it will really depend on "how" winterized it is. I fill my two 787s with antifreeze and pinch the hoses to hold the coolant/av in the blocks. If this is the case with your challenger you'll obviously want to undo this. I also change the oil in the pumps and replace the spark plugs. Other than that a fresh battery and test functionality of each accessory device (bilge etc). You'll probably want to speak with the seller to see just what he did to winterize though and just undo his list.

I agree but even if stored in heated garage what happens if you lose power and therefore no heat????

You should at least blow the water out each time you are done using it, until the final time then re-winterize it.

Good luck.
